![]() The pacing and win conditions felt very smooth and reasonable. I only played one campaign with Germany thus far. I got the SC:WW1 one as well and I think it's the first WW1 game done right (didn't like the AGEOD nor Commander versions). WW1 I don't like as much really but it's ok. The World at War is amazing (best of the SC series imo). However the dev for warplan is really active and I have high hopes it will continue to get better and better. I had no way to know how many units I could actually supply, which units were being supplied, or any other important info. I landed in Spain, had 2 or 3 ports and couldn't supply my units. For example supply through ports is really crazy. Originally posted by jj.denver:Agree, I like warplan for its' potential, but to me it's not yet ready. That being said, I don't regret owning either of the 3 games. The much bigger scale of the European theatre allows for more tactical manouvres like pincers and encirclements. When it comes to SC Europe vs SC World at War: I expect Warplan 2 to be an awesome game. Overall, the SC series is way superior and while Warplan has great ideas, it is easy to tell that it is the first game Alvaro Souza has designed. comfort features like auto-reinforcements via slider setting oil (SC is severely lacking that vital ressource) ![]() ![]() that is incredibly stupid game design of Warplan. Imagine being forced to play US, UK, France and Soviets all at once. The biggest advantage of SC over Warplan is that you don't have to play an entire faction, but can pick single nations if you wish. SC is also way more scripted which sounds bad at first, but the scripting reflects historical circumstances very accurately and leads to a much more realistic gameplay. The SC series is much better programmed and has a more professional GUI. I have Warplan, SC WW2 Europe and World at War.
